1707 posts · Joined 2012. #3 · Nov 14, 2019. Just an FYI: When an "error" (or code) occurs and the Service Engine Soon (or CHECK ENGINE) light comes on, the computer automatically disables Cruise. That's why it is blinking. Around 100km/h it happens most, I don't ever have it happen when cruising on slower roads or in the city, not to say it hasn't happened, but 99% of the time, the CEL activates, cruise flashes, and code P0000 occur while on the highway at speed.

I'm getting this same code. was getting p0031, and 32, replaced the front o2 sensor ($215 ouch) and the p0031 (heat bank low) went away but the 32 (heat high) is still there. anyone have anymore ideas on this?Do you have any warning lights on, in addition to cruise flashing? I think you need to find a scanner that can cover SRS and ABS codes as well as the ecu codes Now might be a good time to look into to the green connectors under the dash - But I'm not sure what codes that can pull in diagnosis mode.
I have a 2006 Forester, 5 speed with 56K miles. Last week the speedometer & odometer stopped working and the CEL came on and cruise control light started blinking. Someone convinced me it was probably the Vehicle Speed Sensor so I bought a new one and installed it. It didn't fix it. It's throwing the code P0502.70.
