Sealing up the holes in the doors with aluminum sheet siliconed to the door metal to make it more air tight is even better.

Re: custom subwoofer boxes. Here was my cheap install two 8"s and two 6 coaxials crossed over at like 650 Hz. It cost me practically nil and wasn't bad but it wasn't great either but hey I got bored on a friday and said what they hay might as well.
