The SOCOM is an awesome cartridge that is basically a long 50AE (O.A.L. of 1.575") with a rebated .308 style head configuration, necked down to utilize a .458" diameter projectiles. It has been chambered in some bolt guns but its claim to fame is in the AR-15 platform.I was able to find a a col of 2.020 using the sbr socom powder data that seems to line up with some shooters world data I was able to find on shooters reference. But I am a little hesitant to sort of pick a starting load for this powder. A buddy I talked to at work recommended I start right around the minimum load for the 325gr data I have.
