Users have been asking for "tree" supports in PrusaSlicer for almost as long. Prusa released "snug" suppports in v2.4.0. Josef announced on November 30 that PS would have "tree" supports and a new version of that called "organic" supports. December 23, Ultimaker releases Cura v5.3.0-alpha+xmas with "organic" supports.Organic supports. I am very new at 3d printing so I searched for any info on organic supports to make sure this wasn't suggested and I didn't see it anywhere. My organic supports that are tall seem to fail quite regularly. It seems that they aren't stable above a certain height.These are completely organic, no GMOs, free-range, and natural supports. I know trees work. I have yet to play with the organic supports. We shall see. I guess my bad joke didn’t land 😅. Very, very exited for both the supports and the measurement tool. I'm also looking forward to what SuperSlicer does with this.
