My own experience with three AR15s and one AR10, all with Maglock and Kingpin is that they're a pain in the ass. Mainly because when the bolt locks back the Kingpin doesn't allow the upper and lower to separate enough for the Maglock tang to fit between the receivers. That means no magazine drop until you release the bolt.All are Maglock Gen 4 with Kingpin. On all four rifles you cannot drop the magazine with the bolt locked back. The gap between the upper and lower receivers is too narrow for the tab of the Maglock to fit in.
