In researching this it seems that the 2016 models got version IO6 which mine has (mine is a 2015). Maybe it was a late year production. I would wait it out or bite the bullet and go for the factory 8 inch screen I've seen it for $1200. Its no more than an hour or 2 for gm to install. Under $1500 you'll be in the money and that alone will sell the w/t when the time comes.
